NanoTitanium Dioxide is embedded within ceramic crystals in the SlimeGUARD® Sticks.  This acts as a photo catalyst or semiconductor that creates a strong oxidation reaction on the surface when contacted by an organic.  When organic compounds are attracted to it's surface they are removed by this oxidation power, leaving nothing behind. This technology decomposes organic material and microorganisms, including spores, algae and fungus in air and water.

Chemical sanitation kills microorganisms, then leaves them in the water or on the hard surfaces. Unlike chemicals, NanoTitanium technology turns these organics into a gas that disappears.  This is a much cleaner, more appealing solution!

What Makes Good Ice?

Used together, The SlimeGUARD® System kills mold, algae, fungus and bacteria on the hard surfaces of your ice machine and  in the water.

One SlimeGUARD® Stick works for up to 6 months, depending on the environment.  In normal conditions it lasts for 6 months.  In environments with large amounts of yeast (like a pizza parlor), the yeast is the perfect food for mold and algae and may reduce the life of the SlimeGUARD® Stick to 3-4 months.

One application of the SlimeGUARD® Spray works for 1-2 months, depending on the same conditions mentioned above.

The SlimeGUARD System is SAFE.  It does not contain any harmful ingredients and puts nothing into the water.  (CFR21 food acceptance material)  There is no affect on the taste of the ice except that it may be improved due to added cleanliness.
